Before the Move
How far in advance should I book my move?
We recommend booking as soon as you have a confirmed moving date to avoid disappointment, especially for weekend moves. Booking 2-4 weeks in advance is ideal. We will always do our best to fit you in, even for last-minute moves.
How do I get a quote?
The easiest way to get a quote is to fill out our Quick Quote form on our website. It only takes a few minutes, and we’ll be in touch with a personalised quote within the hour.
What is included in my quote?
Our quotes are transparent and include a breakdown of all costs. We’ll outline labour, transport, and any additional services like packing that you’ve requested. We believe in being upfront with all costs to avoid any surprises on moving day.
Do you offer insurance?
Yes, we have insurance to protect your belongings during transit. It is also a good idea to check if your own home and contents insurance covers your items during a move.
Can you move fragile or valuable items?
Yes, our team is trained to handle fragile and valuable items with extra care. We recommend letting us know about any of these items beforehand so we can ensure they are properly packed and secured.
What happens if I need to cancel or change my moving date?
We understand that plans can change. You can cancel your removalist service up to 72 hours before your move date without a penalty (ie loss of deposit).
On Moving Day
How should I prepare for the removalists' arrival?
On the day of the move, please make sure all your boxes are packed and sealed. It’s helpful if you clear a path for our team and let us know which boxes are fragile. Having a clearly labelled “essentials” box with things like a kettle, snacks, and toiletries is a great idea.
How long will my move take?
The time it takes depends on many factors, like the size of your home, the amount of items, and access to both properties. We pride ourselves on being efficient without compromising on safety.
How can I prepare my fridge and freezer for the move?
Please empty your fridge and freezer.
Do I need to dismantle furniture?
Our team can dismantle and reassemble furniture like beds and desks for you at no extra charge. It’s all part of our hourly rate.
Can I help with the move?
You are welcome to help, but for liability reasons, we ask that you do not enter the truck.
How do you protect my home from damage?
We take precautions to protect your home’s floors and walls during the move, using protective covers and blankets.
After the Move
What should I do when you arrive at my new home?
We’ll work with you to unload and place boxes in the correct rooms. Having a floor plan ready can be a huge help!
When can I turn on my fridge and freezer?
As soon as your fridge and freezer is out of the truck, you can plug it in and start using it immediately.
What do I do with the empty boxes?
You can recycle them or donate them to someone else who is moving.
